THQ today announced Red Faction: Armageddon, the follow up to last year’s smash hit Red Faction: Guerrilla.
Picking up some fifty years after the events of Guerilla, players assume of role of Damian Mason, grandson of our previous hero. Having been forced underground following the destruction of their air-supply, the human colonists learn that Mars isn’t as desolate as they first thought.
Unsurprisingly, destruction on a hugely satisfying scale is is back in a big way, with the announcements of an updated destruction engine and Extermination Mode – think Horde with extra smash.
Red Faction: Armageddon is currently scheduled for release in March 2011. Rest assured, Xboxic will keep you up to date as details emerge.
